A-Rosa was originally founded by P+ O Cruises in 2001 but following the merger of P+O with Carnival, A-Rosa was bought privately and now has its headquarters in Rostock, Germany.
The A-ROSA Rhone-Saone fleet Luna and Stella are the most modern river cruise ships on the river, with a capacity for a maximum of 174 passengers. They each have 86 cabins about 15 sqm in size which spread over three decks. More than two-thirds of the cabins have a French balcony.
The two identically constructed sister ships travel along the Rhône and Saône every week, in a seven-day rhythm from and to Lyon, the secret capital of France for connaisseurs. Routes run first north up to Chalôn sur Saône and then south to Provence right down to Avignon and Arles. Every day, guests experience a new aspect of France: whether it’s the cuisine, culture, architecture, impressive natural landscapes or romantic castles – every traveller will find the right combination.
