AmaWaterways river cruise in France
AmaWaterwaysRiver Cruise Routes
AmaWaterways offers river cruises through France’s most exceptional wine regions, which also happen to contain some of the country’s most interesting historic sites and stunning countryside. You can explore Bordeaux on the Garonne River, discover Paris and the Champagne region, and Normandy on a Seine river cruise, follow the Rhône south and taste wine from some of France’s most revered vineyards, or cruise the Rhine and explore the fascinating medieval history and superb wines of Alsace and Moselle.
Each boat in the fleet of 15 has been custom built to offer a premium cruise experience, whichever vessel you choose. Staterooms are modern, spacious and well appointed, most with French balconies. There’s an average of one crew member per three passengers, so service levels are very good.
Ambience & Cuisine
Embarking on an AmaWaterways river cruise is like stepping onto a floating boutique hotel, with a classically elegant feel and plenty of contemporary touches.
As the only river cruise line to be a member of the illustrious gastronomic society, La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, AmaWaterways offers exceptional dining. You’ll enjoy regionally inspired dishes made with local ingredients and unlimited fine wine, beers and soft drinks with lunch and dinner.
Excursions are included in the cruise price, and there is something for everyone to enjoy, with different small group excursions led by experts for gentle, regular or active walkers and also late starters (for those who like to lie in). AmaWaterways was also one of the first to introduce a fleet of bicycles for passengers to explore their surroundings at their own pace.
